Why I Evolved My Sound Healer Training (And Why the Container Matters Just as Much as the Teaching)

When I first created Awaken the Alchemist, I wasn't trying to create just another sound healer training.

I'd already experienced several trainings myself, and while each one offered something valuable, I always left with the same feeling…There was something missing.

Not because the teachers weren't knowledgeable or because the instruments weren't beautiful. But because I didn't just want to learn how to facilitate sound healing. I wanted to become the kind of practitioner who could confidently hold space for genuine transformation.

I wanted an experience that changed me.

That longing became the foundation of Awaken the Alchemist.

From the very beginning, I knew I wanted my training to be different.

Of course, you'll learn the science of sound, the therapeutic application of instruments, how to structure sessions, hold one-to-one clients and facilitate group sound baths. But information alone doesn't create exceptional practitioners.

Confidence comes through embodiment and transformation comes through experience.

As someone who walks the priestess path, I've always believed that becoming a healer is an initiation. It's a remembering. A journey into deeper trust, intuition and devotion to your own gifts.

Over the last two years I've had the privilege of guiding wonderful students through this journey.

Watching women who arrived quietly questioning themselves leave ready to begin offering healing in the world has been one of the greatest joys of my work. Many have started businesses. Many have begun holding circles and sound baths. Many have simply found themselves again after years of feeling disconnected from who they truly are.

Every cohort has reminded me why this work matters so deeply.

And yet...

There was still a quiet whisper inside me.

Every time we gathered for our immersive training days, I found myself thinking about the importance of the space around us.

Because transformation doesn't only happen through what we learn.

It also happens through how we feel.

The environment becomes part of the experience.

It communicates safety.

Beauty.

Permission to soften.

Permission to expand.

I realised that if I was asking people to step into one of the most meaningful transitions of their lives, then the container itself needed to honour that journey. So I began searching for a new home for our immersive training. Not just somewhere practical. Somewhere that felt sacred.

When I first visited Nutfield Priory Hotel & Spa, I knew immediately.

The ceremony room is a place where people gather to celebrate love, commitment and life's biggest milestones. There was something incredibly symbolic about bringing Awaken the Alchemist into a space already infused with those qualities.

Because this training is its own rite of passage.

It marks the beginning of a new chapter.

Alongside our new venue, I've also refined the experience itself.

Lunch and refreshments are now included, allowing everyone to stay present throughout the day without needing to think about logistics.

For those travelling from further away—or simply wishing to deepen the experience—you also have the option to stay overnight at the hotel, enjoy the spa and create your own personal retreat around the training.

There are even more thoughtful additions that I'll be sharing soon, each designed with one intention:

To ensure every student feels deeply supported from the moment they arrive. Because that's what healing deserves. And that's what future healers deserve too.

If you've been feeling the quiet call towards this work...

If you've found yourself imagining a career that's rooted in purpose, creativity and meaningful connection...

Perhaps this is your invitation.

Awaken the Alchemist isn't simply about learning to play singing bowls.

It's about becoming someone who has the confidence to guide others through transformation while continuing your own.

I'd be honoured to welcome you into the next cohort.
